About the Scientist

Dr. Shlomi Hod is a postdoctoral researcher at the chair of Privacy and Security at KIT and an associate researcher at the Weizenbaum Institute. His work focuses on tools for the real-world deployment of responsible, secure, safe, and privacy-preserving AI systems in high-stakes settings. He has also delivered workshops on operationalising responsible AI for senior policymakers, regulators, and diplomats worldwide, including at the U.S. Congress and the German Federal Foreign Office. He holds a PhD in Computer Science from Boston University, completed research visits at Columbia, Harvard, and UC Berkeley, and worked as a Data Scientist at Twitter.
