Dieses Praktikum vermittelt Studierenden die Grundlagen für die Implementierung von Privacy Enhancing Technologies (PETs). Die vorgestellten Methoden kommen aus den Bereichen der Data Privacy (k-Anonymität und Differential Privacy), Private Information Retrieval sowie aus der anonymen Kommunikation. Zusätzlich müssen Studierende Praxisaufgaben in einer frei gewählten Programmiersprache implementieren.

Building PETs 2025

The practical course Building PETs is a follow-up to the lecture Privacy Enhancing Technologies from the summer term. We will take the theoretical concepts that have been discussed in the lecture and put them intro practice in the form of small programming exercises.

Schedule

The course will take place on Mondays, 14:00–15:30 in Room 252 (50.34). The first meeting will be on November 3rd. Note that we will not meet every week, the exact schedule will be shared during the kick-off and in ILIAS.
